Photo Extravaganza – BACK-ON Live at Formoz Festival 2007, Taipei, Taiwan! – Part 2

Do you still remember part 1 of the BACK-ON Live at Formoz Festival photo extravganza? If you do, well done! :) If you don’t, no worries – there’s a link right there! To be fair, it has been sometime since we last posted part 1, featuring photos taken by Hyperreality Mer and KHT.

For part 2, again we have to thank the photographers for their kindness in allowing us to post them on BOO and also our Gallery. These feature photographs were taken by Art.style (Arthur Liao) and Aqua Eyes (#2 and #6), and are as much eye-candy as the previous set!

Of course, these (as before) are just the thumbnails, so to give you a preview (before you click on the links above) of the quality of the pictures, let us focus our mind on a certain Back-on band member, Kenji03, below taken by art.style! :)

I would (again) strongly encourge everyone to view the photos in the Gallery, simply because it really is hard to appreciate the photos from such small thumbnails.

New song – flower – Live video from Formoz 2007 and new ED for Eyeshield 21!

It’s been known for quite some time that flower would the new ED for Eyeshield 21, and I’m sure you’ll be happy to hear that the new ending has finally been released! :) The new ending sequence was first aired at the end of Episode 116 on August 1st 2007, and you can now watch it on Youtube courtesy of gangangan03!

I personally love this new ending theme, and the artwork is impeccable as usual, but in case you weren’t satisfied with this short version, gangangan03 has just uploaded a video of Back-on performing flower LIVE at Formoz Festival 2007!

The song is very chilled out (similar to the previous ED by Back-on – a day dreaming…) but in my humble opinion, this song is so much more balanced, with a strong verse and chorus, and the band have actually used a violin in the background as the underlying theme (that almost always means bonus points from me :p) but as always,  it would be interesting to hear what everyone else thinks though!

Photo Extravaganza – BACK-ON Live at Formoz Festival 2007, Taipei, Taiwan! – Part 1

Recently we posted news about two fantastic video clips (courtesy of gangangan03) featuring Back-on performing Believer and Chain at Formoz Festival 2007, but now we’re bringing you equally exciting visual media in the form of some really professional photographs taken at the concert! :)

In Part 1, we’re featuring photos taken by KHT and Hyperreality Mer (latter 2) , who have both very kindly given us permission to post them here on BOO news and our gallery! Thank you! You can see all of their work below as thumbnails, where each photo is linked to its original size in the gallery. And as Teeda might say – check them out! :)

I would strongly encourage EVERYONE to view them in their original sizes, because these thumbnails seriously don’t justify the quality of the photos! If you do need a little persuading, take a closer look at Hyperreality Mer‘s photo of Shu below!

Icchan models the new Back-on T-shirts and new live dates announced!

During the past few months, Back-on have tended to update their website once-or-twice a week with news updates, but in this month alone, they’ve made a record 9 news posts in the first two weeks!

Our main focus is on the T-shirts (Merchandise) that were announced at the end of last month, because the latest news post features Icchan and the T-shirts! Yup, he models all 4 colours of the latest design, and looks so sweet when he smiles. :) Take a look below, especially at the pink t-shirt, as the website says it is particularly recommended by Icchan!

If you want to see how the t-shirt fares under colourful spotlights, Back-on.com also provides a photo of Shu with the new-t-shirt as well~

Tokyo TV’s Mayokara new opening theme, Back-on’s “Colours” and a new Back-on only gig at Shibuya O-Crest!

The news source this time is from the official Back-on website, so unless I’ve completely interpreted it incorrectly it seems that we have found out the name of one of their new songs, potentially even the third song on the forthcoming “BLAZE LINE/A day dreaming…” single release!

We mentioned before that Back-on‘s song 鼓動 (Kodou) featured as the main theme for TV Tokyo’s Mayokara (マヨカラ). Now, according to Back-on‘s website, the programme has chosen another Back-on song for their new theme tune, “Colours” which Back-on describes as a fast song with a “hot message“.

It is due to be aired with the episode on Thursday, April 5th 2007 at 2:00am. You can read more about the forthcoming episode on the Tokyo Mayokara website. Unfortunately I can’t find any clips of the show online at the moment but the website is worth visiting as it seems like a fun programme. ^^

Back-on has also updated their schedule of live events to include a Back-on only appearance at Shibuya O-Crest (which apparently fits 200 people) on July 4th 2007. It seems this performance is in celebration of Back-on returning from America!

Tickets will officially be on-sale from the ticket office from May 19th, but Back-on will be selling tickets at almost all of their forthcoming live performances starting from April 18th. These advanced tickets will retail at ¥2,500, which is more than the usual ¥1,800 – ¥2,000. As Back-on usually performs with 2-3 other bands at gigs, this is a step forward!

I should also add that their website states that their April 18th 2007 gig at 柏ZaX for 「ZaX 3MAN LIVE!!」 will apparently be recorded and Back-on will be performing lots of songs as its their main show before their trip to Anime Matsuri! The Events page will be updated with more details information soon. :)
