BACK-ON – WE CAN’T STOP | Lyrics

We have opted for WE CAN’T STOP as the third set of lyrics to be posted from BACK-ON‘s third album “Good Job!!” due to a special request from thekiller99 and the fact that it has one of the catchiest intros!

The 18-second guitar build up draws you in and is followed by the usual catchy KENJI03 chorus; it’s also impossible not to like TEEDA‘s rap parts. The song also marks a nice transition in the album as it changes from the rather cheeky and cheerful Word play and moves into traditional BACK-ON rap-rock territory.

As with the other lyrics, we have Uta-Net to thank for the original Kanji, and for the first time ever, we have included an LRC version of a song for those who love to sing-a-long to BACK-ON.

Our standard disclaimer is as follows:

The usual kanji, romaji, karaoke and .lrc versions of the lyrics can be found below (after the cut-off) and we will always do our best to bring you the most accurate lyrics possible, so we do occasionally amend the spelling of the original English lyrics if we believe it to be appropriate. But as always, if you spot any mistakes, please let us know either by commenting below or via the contact form.

Finally, if you would like to post these lyrics elsewhere, please kindly link back to this page. :)

BACK-ON – Word play | Lyrics

Word play is one track that very much surprised me from BACK-ON‘s third album “Good Job!!” – the preview clip really did not do it justice – as it’s a summer track that reminds me of bands from the 60s (think Beach Boys and Cliff Richard and the Shadows), very tongue-in-cheek and carefree – I especially love the verses and the raps – and the first 10 seconds with the ‘radio’ voice over adds a twist, making it an even better road-trip song.

Seriously – who wouldn’t want to clap their hands and say oh! oh! oh! with BACK-ON?

As before we have Uta-Net to thank for the original lyrics and will also include some notes before the song of interesting words used:

ヤマヅミナンデス = definitely a huge pile (combines ヤマヅミ and ナンデス)

ページ = page

レントゲン = ‘rentogen’ = X-ray

Our usual disclaimer is as follows:

The usual kanji, romaji and karaoke versions of the lyrics can be found below (after the cut-off) and we will always do our best to bring you the most accurate lyrics possible, so we do occasionally amend the spelling of the original English lyrics if we believe it to be appropriate. About this entry

BACK-ON – Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! | Lyrics

BACK-ON launched their third album Good Job!! today which features an eclectic mix of songs – including Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! – brilliant electro-pop track which appears to have been inspired a little by Like a G6 by Fast East Movement.

And this is one of the rare songs where TEEDA‘s rap is completely in English.

As usual we have Uta-Net to thank for the original lyrics and will also include some notes before the song of interesting words used:

テキーラ = tequila

メリーゴーランド = merry-go-round

シラフ = ‘shirafu’ = sober or straight-faced (opposite to being red-faced when drunk)

モード = mode

ダンスフロア = dance floor

So the line “シラフはもちろんkeep outモード” is something like “Sober of course, keep out mode”
