If e1337 is from Toronto, we could play host and show them some good old Canadian hospitality but I sure as hell don't have any idea what Van city is like or where everything is....... now if it was Toronto that be a different case......
From what I heard of Vancouver from a couple of friends is that its gorgeous but they people there kinda sucked especially when they found out that they were from Toronto.... I guess they suffer from a big brother complex........ Regardless of this maybe they will be more friendly to other people who aren't from Toronto.....
Just like a big brother, I can't help love them regardless, my significant other is from there........ to all considering the trip, Canada is a friendly country to all cultures so come one come all...... Maybe you'll fall in love with the city and decide to stay or even comeback.....

same here. only problems are:
1) I have no passport. I've never left the country before (rarely texas itself)
2) I have a job now but even if i start saving now, I doubt i could afford the round trip and hotel fees.
3) My mom is VERY protective of me and will only let me go if she came along (or if a responsible adult was there). and by 'responsible' she means some one who has a child going or is OBVIOUSLY not childish. plus it's out of the country. >_>
4) the convention is too close to the start of the school year for me to go and not suffer some sort of consequence (from mom or school)
T_T I could always try but there are too many things preventing me from going.
