IRC Channel Discussion - sowon - 04-14-2007

Hum.. an IRC channel will be great !!! BUT too many people do not know how to use it and it's very complicated at the beginin to bring people there. But I used to run two scansubs channel ...and I loved.
Maybe we should talk about it.. to see advantages and disadvantages to set it up.
#I do not know if anyone ever try to set up a channel based on a band( if yes we can see if it was, or it is successful or not ), maybe ..

"Nipponsei is currently located on the Rizon network: #nipponsei @ irc.rizon.net
You'll need an IRC client such as mIRC for Microsoft Windows users"
if not ..I'll explain to you

RE: Who's your fave BACK-ON member? - ichi - 04-14-2007

nope... totally clueless

RE: Who's your fave BACK-ON member? - sowon - 04-14-2007

1.It's like a big msn window where everyone can speak.
2.we can upload or download files.
3.we chose a name for the channel ( e.g BACK-ON @rizon) and then people who will come to this channel will be with us and we all can discuss online.
If u want more explaination just ask please.

Thanks for explaining the concept of IRC Big Grin IRC = Internet Relay Chat - it took me a while to understand it as well before. Its certainly an option we can look into if everyone is interested - of course it helps to have lots of people participating!

Other mIRC alternatives include XChat as well as Trillian or GAIM (the latter two being all-in-ones that support MSN/AIM etc. in one package)

RE: IRC Channel Discussion - ichi - 04-15-2007

the thing w/ this though is that it might be blocked in my laptop cuz of the school filter so iono we'll hafta c... it'll be awesome though if we can chat =D
