BACK-ON have released a total of 3 full-length albums, 4 mini-albums and 13 singles. They have also collaborated with other artists such as GReeeeN, Airstrikeand Pink Flamingo MG, releasing albums such as ‘Survive‘. • According to DAILY MUSIC and the official news release, Departure will be the new background theme music in the 2014 promotional campaign CM (advert) for Nihon Kogakuin, a technical college in Japan. Past artists have included DUFF (2013).
• There will be 3 versions of the single – CD, CD+DVD (A), CD+DVD (B)- the tracklistings are the same except the DVD versions will include music videos (PVs) for each of the title tracks. CD+DVD (A) ** will feature “STRIKE BACK” and CD+DVD (B)*** will feature “Departure“.
• ^#Accordingly, CD+DVD (A) will have “STRIKE BACK” as the first track instead of “Departure“.

• The single features the second opening theme for the anime Gundam Build Fighters. It is written by BACK-ON and features Lil’ Fang from the all-female bilingual J-pop group FAKY.
• There will be 3 versions of the single – CD, CD+DVD, CD+gunpla – the tracklistings are the same for all except that Around the world^# will only feature in the CD+DVD and CD-only releases.
• “Around the world” will tie in with the phone game (iOS/Android) “SD Gundam G Generation Frontier” (source)

The CM features the famous Japanese surfer Teppei Tajima and the (lady) calligrapher is Kunishige Tomomi, who created EEKanji (English written as Kanji).
• The first track ‘ONE STEP!‘ features mini, who is a protégé of JIN, the producer behind BACK-ON, BAReeeeeeeeeeN and GReeeeN. Her debut song ‘special memory’ is a popular ringtone and her first single ‘Are U Ready?’ will be due out in February 2010 according to Amazon.co.jp

• This single is tied-in with the PSP game Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 2 as BACK-ON is writing the opening and ending theme music for the latest of the Namco Bandai “Tales of the World” game series.
• flyaway is the OP (opening theme) and where is the future? is the ED (ending theme)
• ** There are two versions of the single: the normal edition featuring BACK-ON on the front cover and the other a ‘limited edition’ known as the ‘Tales of’ edition which features the game CD’s front cover as the main design.
• The limited edition will include a special remix track called flyaway 『テイルズ オブ』Remix or flyaway (Tales of) Remix which, according to BACK-ON.com, will include contributions from the voice cast of the main characters from the game and the BGM (background music) from the battle scenes.

• The [LA mix] versions were remixed by Matt Hyde at the No Excuses Studio in Santa Monica, LA. He has worked with artists such as Sum 41 and No Doubt.
• Apparently the producer of the album is JIN, who some will know as the producer of BAReeeeeeeeeeN (BACK-ON‘s joint collaboration with GReeeeN)
• The album jacket features no pictures or photos of BACK-ON and the background is a blown up photo of building as it is demolished by explosives. A reference to the band name perhaps, as it is an onomatopoeia of an explosive sound!
• This is BACK-ON‘s first ever full-length album.

• There’s not much information about this CD aside from the fact it was only available at one of Back-on‘s performance venues. The two songs, Forward and Soul Shout were both later included in the tracklisting of Adachi Tribe and Hero respectively.

Compilations and Collaborations

BACK-ON has also worked with other artists, especially in the earlier days of their career, although their most recent collaboration with GReeeeN to form BAReeeeeeeeeeN has really helped to boost their popularity. The list includes mix compilations, which featured BACK-ON‘s own songs (including OSTs), as well as collaborations with other artists for their albums. A number of releases were only available from the venue itself, or had a very limited print run, so only a small number were produced.

• BACK-ON and GReeeeN joined together under the guidance of JIN to form BAReeeeeeeeeeN; this is their debut single.
• The identity of the people behind BAReeeeeeeeeeN was initially a mystery (with a lot of media speculation that it could be related to GReeeeN) and Ashiato (the title track) did very well in the download charts even before the single was released.
• JIN turned out to be HIDE‘s (of GReeeeN) older brother and he features in the PV for Ashiato – the guy with a goatee and sunglasses who passes the main character on the pedestrian overhead bridge.
