Back-on media @ AnimeUSA 2007 – a quick glance

It’s been a while since Back-on hit Anime USA 2007 but who said time is an issue when writing news posts? Today’s feature are media of Back-on from Anime USA that various con-goers have put together or uploaded online.

We’ll start with a pretty professional video that was done by PBC Productions promoting Anime USA, and I have to admit I’m tempted to join the event next year. ;) Back-on feature in the clip for a mere 30 seconds (from 3:07) but Chad Williams and his team have helpfully provided translations when Kenji03 talks about his thoughts about how amazing it is to have people (who probably don’t know Japanese) singing along with Back-on‘s lyrics!

Another video that we found (on Youtube) was uploaded by anantech featuring Back-on at their autograph-signing session. As many have already pointed out, the look on Teeda and Kenji03‘s faces when they saw the Wii is priceless :) As with the video above, you can visit Youtube or scroll down to watch it!

Last but not least, photos! The best resource at the moment is actually Anime USA’s official gallery where there are currently 50+ photos of Back-on at their concert performance! One of my most favourite has to be a photo featuring Kenji03:

flower and Butterfly singles released (samples available)!

Back-on‘s brand new singles flower and Butterfly were both released to much fanfare yesterday! :D There has been a flurry of activity at Back-on’s Official Blog (which has a new layout) with plenty of photos and comments!

This is particularly in response to the original blog post by Back-on‘s staff asking for feedback and comments, where I believe Back-on staff promised that comments would receive replies if they posted within a certain timeframe, and Teeda for instance, has made an amazing effort to say hi to everyone!

You might be interested in knowing that both Teeda and Kenji03 have stopped writing in their own blogs, and that Back-on’s Official Blog is now their main blogging platform, so it’s a fantastic resource for interesting pictures and videos from the band!

We’ll try and give you more information about these posts in the future, but Back-on did include some photos of the singles in the shops (HMV for instance) that you can see below:

They also took pictures with some lucky CD staff member(s)!

Last but not least, if you’re wondering what the songs sound like, we’ve been able to listen to samples of each track on both CDs (courtesy of Hmv.co.jp) which we are now making available below as a mix-zip file below! So included 45 second samples are:

• Colors
• Butterfly (Myspace preview)
• Spark
• DRIVE (Shutokou Remix)

Please bear in mind that these are song samples so the quality is unfortunately not very good (aside from flower and Butterfly previews from Back-on’s Myspace, which were both made available in a previous post) but hopefully it is enough to give everyone a quick preview! Personally, aside from the title tracks, I’m loving the sample of ZERO and Colors! Which songs do you like?

Photo Extravaganza – BACK-ON Live at Formoz Festival 2007, Taipei, Taiwan! – Part 2

Do you still remember part 1 of the BACK-ON Live at Formoz Festival photo extravganza? If you do, well done! :) If you don’t, no worries – there’s a link right there! To be fair, it has been sometime since we last posted part 1, featuring photos taken by Hyperreality Mer and KHT.

For part 2, again we have to thank the photographers for their kindness in allowing us to post them on BOO and also our Gallery. These feature photographs were taken by Art.style (Arthur Liao) and Aqua Eyes (#2 and #6), and are as much eye-candy as the previous set!

Of course, these (as before) are just the thumbnails, so to give you a preview (before you click on the links above) of the quality of the pictures, let us focus our mind on a certain Back-on band member, Kenji03, below taken by art.style! :)

I would (again) strongly encourge everyone to view the photos in the Gallery, simply because it really is hard to appreciate the photos from such small thumbnails.

Photo Extravaganza – BACK-ON Live at Formoz Festival 2007, Taipei, Taiwan! – Part 1

Recently we posted news about two fantastic video clips (courtesy of gangangan03) featuring Back-on performing Believer and Chain at Formoz Festival 2007, but now we’re bringing you equally exciting visual media in the form of some really professional photographs taken at the concert! :)

In Part 1, we’re featuring photos taken by KHT and Hyperreality Mer (latter 2) , who have both very kindly given us permission to post them here on BOO news and our gallery! Thank you! You can see all of their work below as thumbnails, where each photo is linked to its original size in the gallery. And as Teeda might say – check them out! :)

I would strongly encourage EVERYONE to view them in their original sizes, because these thumbnails seriously don’t justify the quality of the photos! If you do need a little persuading, take a closer look at Hyperreality Mer‘s photo of Shu below!

Wow… I can’t believe I’ve allowed this much time to lapse since my last news post! It makes me feel guilty just thinking about it :) Real life has been extra busy these past few days but with the Easter holidays here, more time can be allocated toward Back-on Online. Now, moving swiftly on from my (irrelevant) life chat:

I promised to scan the New World album sleeve not too long ago, but on the day I actually really go and try it, I can’t actually get hold of a scanner! Instead, I’ve done an ad-hoc photo-shoot for the time being :p Since I want to tell everyone about Sowon‘s forum post, this seems like a good opportunity to share the Hikari Sasuhou ヒカリサスホウ lyrics (or photo at least) with everyone!
