Lyrics: RAIN
It might seem a surprise to everyone for us to release the lyrics for RAIN out of the blue, but with thanks to nosoul4u and ookami (Forum Moderator!), who have both said on the Forums how much they would like to have the lyrics, I finally got round to sitting still for 2 hours to type them up. ;)
RAIN is from the New World mini-album, which Back-on released at the end of 2006, and is quite a feel good song. Surprisingly (for me anyway) it was actually the longest song on the CD (4:03) probably because of the long musical interlude in the third half of the song. It’s definitely a grower, although I have to admit I like Teeda’s rap part the best, even though he’s uber fast, particularly in the second verse, I had to slow down the tempo by almost 40%.
Interestingly though, Kenji03 sings a word in the first line of the chorus slightly differently to the usual pronunciation:
あの時僕らは何かに怯えて
where 時 is usually pronounced as “toki” (or “doki” if time of ’something’ but this is not used in this song) but “toku” is sung instead.
You can find the original kanji below, romaji on page 2 and the romanised version on page 3, with page 4 featuring the hybrid/karaoke mix of kanji and romanji.
As always, if you spot any mistakes, please let me know either by commenting below or via the contact form. If you would like to post these lyrics elsewhere, please link back to this page. :)

Lyrics: fifty/50
fifty/50 is arguably the most experimental song that features in Back-on’s latest single Sands of time, and in addition to the song being of a more electronic-rap genre where Teeda seems to be the only singer, the lyrics are actually surprisingly dark for the band.
Nevertheless, it’s still a great song, and if you haven’t heard it yet, please refer to this page to find out how to listen to the entire single online. The lyrics are, of course, provided below.
Unfortunately, as with message for kidz, Back-on didn’t actually include the lyrics for the ‘bridge’ of the song (where Teeda’s voice goes all electronic) so this is a transcribe of what I could hear from the song. I haven’t yet been able to figure out what the missing ‘—-’ is, so if you do know, please let us know!
You can find the original kanji below, romaji on page 2 and the romanised version on page 3, with page 4 featuring the hybrid/karaoke mix of kanji and romanji.

Hiatus, hiatus, hiatus…
Ohayo! Yet again, it’s been awhile since the last update. You may be happy to find out that the backend of BOO, which is Wordpress, was successfully upgraded and the downtime was much shorter than expected - a mere 20 minutes. However, if you’re wondering why there has been such a dry patch during Back-on’s latest successful run of concerts, including their further conquest of the Americas at AnimeUSA just last week, I can only say that coursework and real life events have invaded and taken up permanent residence.
As the holiday seasons draws near (only a few more weeks!), we’ll try and post updates about Back-on’s latest activities. Alas their international concert plans have drawn to a close this year, but judging by the massive reaction generated from their recent concerts, as well as the fansub groups finally releasing the later episodes of Eyeshield 21, I think it’s safe to say that we should expect a lot more news about their international plans next year!
Other updates will include an upgraded gallery, new lyrics and (hopefully) wallpapers that have been kindly provided by other Back-on fans, so please do look out for them!

Lyrics: Colors
After an uber-long hiatus (I have a good excuse!) I’d like to introduce the lyrics for Colors, which is from one of Back-on’s latest singles flower. As with the other songs on this single, Colors is quite upbeat in style and has been part of Back-on’s repertoire for a while (at least around April/May 2007) as it is also the main theme of the show Tokyo Mayokara.
We’ve had some help this time from aoi-sama, who kindly agreed to let us use his romaji version of Colors as a basis for the version here, so a big thank you to him!
So as usual, you can find the original kanji below, romaji on page 2 and the romanised version on page 3, with page 4 featuring the hybrid/karaoke mix of kanji and romanji.

Lyrics: flower (romaji only)
With the recent release of flower and Butterfly, no doubt many people are *very* keen to sing-a-long to the songs! It would certainly be interesting to find out which one you prefer (time for a poll perhaps?) but I personally believe there is enough variation this time to ensure even the most polar fans are happy! :) Whilst waiting for the delivery of the singles for the kanji, forum member rageguy has kindly transcribed the lyrics of flower into romaji and posted them onto the forums, so a big thank you to him! :D
If you want to listen to the song online, feel free to mosey over to our Music page and scroll down for the radio, as it is currently featuring songs from both new singles as well as Hero!

Music and Lyrics pages updated!
The long-awaited update for the Music page has finally arrived! :) I’m sure many were wondering what had happened when last month’s update failed to materialise, but the newly featured Downloads are now finally here!
Out of the 488 votes that we received since the previous poll/series, 38% and 36% voted for Hikari Sasuhou and New World respectively! I applaud these choices, simply because they both top my ‘favourite Back-on songs’ list! :D
To celebrate the forthcoming release of Butterfly and flower on September 19th 2007 (please mark this date in your diary if you haven’t already done so ^^) we are also featuring Hikari Sasuhou (Survive ver.) and also EYES for download as well! However, they will only be available for one week only, so please do try and pick them up within the time frame.
In case you weren’t already aware of it, the Radio section of the Music page is now featuring one of Back-on’s out-of-print albums: Hero. The album torrent came courtesy of Crackerjack, so we would like to thank her for making it available for everyone else to listen!
So on to the last part of the Download section, the new poll is now up and running with 6 songs to vote for this time (because of the forthcoming singles release) where each song is taken from almost all of the Back-on singles and mini-albums! Please do take a few seconds to vote when you have a spare moment. :)
Moving on to the updates to the Lyrics section, we mentioned previously that the lyrics are now organised alphabetically. funbari, who has been kindly helping out by typing up the missing lyrics (her contribution includes forward and ~feel~ so far!:)) mentioned that it could be improved further, so a further small change has been made in an attempt to make navigation clearer: by adding a prefix ‘Translation’ to any translated lyrics, similar to the current ‘Lyrics’ nomenclature.
Please do let us know if you have any suggestions as to how we can improve your navigation experience! :) Even small changes can make a significant difference.
Finally, thank you to everyone for your patience and support. ^^ Please look forward to more news updates! Feel free to subscribe to news updates and have the latest news delivered directly to your email inbox as well.
p/s: Don’t forget to check out the new Wallpaper section too, featuring work by MJtheOne!

Lyrics: So Many Tears
So Many Tears is one of Back-on’s older songs from the Baby Rock album, and though I’m usually less keen on Back-on’s slower songs, a special request was sent in by Tsubame for the lyrics, and so here they are today, and the more I listen to So Many Tears the more I like it! Although it was quite time consuming to type up (so many words and interweaving parts!) the romanising was surprisingly quite straight forward.

Forthcoming news and site updates for September 2007!
Before telling you all about what’s planned for BOO in September, firstly, I really have to apologise to BOO Forum Members for not being available for the last month or two due to work commitments. They have been fantastic with posting messages and keeping the board active, so I would also like to say a big thank you to you all! :)
Despite continuing RL commitments, I will try and be as active as possible to make up for the lost time. Send me an email or something if you feel (at any point) that I need to be kick-started into action. ;)
Moving on to the planned updates for news, I am currently facing a small backlog of news posts about Back-on’s activities that need to be written up, so they will be released over the next two weeks or so. This includes the new PV preview of Butterfly that is available on Back-on’s Myspace, some new videos on Youtube from Sound EX and blueblueblue, as well as some interesting news about Back-on’s charity efforts and alot more!
However, one of the major works planned for September 2007 is to the main BOO site. Some of you may already have spotted a difference or two already, but I’ll try and summarise the changes below:
- Wallpapers - A brand new section of Back-on wallpapers for your desktop that has been created with the help of MJTheOne! All the fantastic work you’ll see was sent to me a few weeks back, but alas it’s taken me a while to work out the layout and actually post the content! The first wallpaper - Chain - is all ready to be released, and you can get a sneak preview thumbnail below!

Please do show your support for MJTheOne by visiting his Deviantart account (to view his other work- I personally love the 3ds MAX designs!) and by leaving him your comments!
- Lyrics - This is definitely one of the most popular sections of BOO, and now that I’m armed with a bit more experience with Wordpress template editing, the Lyrics section is now ordered alphabetically rather than chronologically! Hopefully this will make it far easier to view all the lyrics (that, and everything is now on the same page) Of course, feedback is always appreciated!
Please also lookout for the release of more lyrics later on this month! - Where to BUY Back-on’s CDs? - BOO have already made a brief stab at this information on the Music page, but with the forthcoming release of 2 singles on September 19th 2007, it seemed like a good time to write up a proper post. I would definitely welcome any input from other fans for this section, and will be making a post on the Forums in the next few days for people to post their suggestions too!
- And other ideas! - These are currently taking shape in my mind, so are not finalised per-se. I will be bouncing a few of these ideas off a few people this month to see if they will be suitable for BOO first, just in case ;)
Well, as Porky Pig might say at the end of each Looney Tunes episode - ‘That’s all folks!’ - but only for now! Please do let us know what you think of the new updates! :)
p/s: For visitors who are also looking for the next Music update, don’t worry - it’s coming soon!

These lyrics are from Episode 116 of Eyeshield 21, where the source file was courtesy of kxtp. You can also watch a video of the ending credits or even download the TV-size version of the song!

About this entry
Murder Princess OVA OP - Hikari Sasuhou (FK Metal ver.) lyrics updated!
As per the title, the lyrics for the Murder Princess OVA OP - Hikari Sasuhou (FK Metal ver.) has been updated, with the correct lyrics based on Hikari Sasuhou (Survive ver.) as well as a revised translation and romaji!

The updates have all been provided by Yakhobian of the anime fansub group Crystal Nova, so Back-on Online would like to thank him profusely for sharing his work!
On another note, Crystal Nova have just released their fansub of Murder Princess OVA - Volume 4. As previously, the .mkv files come in two different qualities and their associated sizes:
[CrystalNova]Murder Princess OVA - Vol 4 (H264 Vorbis)[HQ][D7CEBC55].mkv (200MB)
[CrystalNova]Murder Princess OVA - Vol 4 (H264 LameCBR)[LQ][EFDD4876].mkv (116MB)
so depending on which you prefer, head on over to their forums to download the torrent! It’s definitely worth watching this episode as there’s more drama, mystery and also a decent fight scene! I should also add that Marvelous Entertainment and Bee Train (the producers of the Murder Princess OVA) have actually thrown in some new and decent background music for this episode, so do watch it!
