Murder Princess OVA OST – Hikari Sasuhou (FK Metal ver.) TV-Size mp3!

Ever since we posted about the official release of the Murder Princess OVA OST, we’ve been checking on Nipponsei on a daily basis to see if we could find the official TV-size version of Hikari Sasuhou (FK Metal ver.) which was used as the OP of the straight-to-video anime, and it is definitely one of the most popular songs by Back-on!

I’m happy to say that the soundtrack is now available on Nipponsei, but not before Yakhobian of CrystalNova kindly emailed us with his copy of the song, so a big thanks to Yakhobian for sharing the file! You may recall that this is the same Yakhobian-san who originally provided us all with the original recording of Hikari Sasuhou (FK Metal ver)!

You can find the download below, and if you’re interested in singing along to the lyrics or finding out what they mean, take a look at the Lyrics, which have also been kindly provided by Yakhobian too! :)

About this entry

Murder Princess OVA OP – Hikari Sasuhou (FK Metal ver.) lyrics updated!

As per the title, the lyrics for the Murder Princess OVA OP – Hikari Sasuhou (FK Metal ver.) has been updated, with the correct lyrics based on Hikari Sasuhou (Survive ver.) as well as a revised translation and romaji!

Yakhobian's Avatar

The updates have all been provided by Yakhobian of the anime fansub group Crystal Nova, so Back-on Online would like to thank him profusely for sharing his work!

On another note, Crystal Nova have just released their fansub of Murder Princess OVA – Volume 4. As previously, the .mkv files come in two different qualities and their associated sizes:

[CrystalNova]Murder Princess OVA – Vol 4 (H264 Vorbis)[HQ][D7CEBC55].mkv (200MB)
[CrystalNova]Murder Princess OVA – Vol 4 (H264 LameCBR)[LQ][EFDD4876].mkv (116MB)

so depending on which you prefer, head on over to their forums to download the torrent! It’s definitely worth watching this episode as there’s more drama, mystery and also a decent fight scene! I should also add that Marvelous Entertainment and Bee Train (the producers of the Murder Princess OVA) have actually thrown in some new and decent background music for this episode, so do watch it!

Back-on’s TV Size mp3s for Air Gear, Murder Princess and Eyeshield 21

I read somewhere that it’s good for sites to do summary posts sometimes, and although I’ve been tempted to try it several times, it’s taken me a while to think of a good summary theme to post about!

This is actually sort of in-conjunction with Sowon‘s Back-on Music Competition on the Forums, where each time, participants have to sing one particular song (TV size version) from Back-on‘s repetoire. (Please consider entering the competition, minna! :D) Usually, it does help to ‘record’ with the song in question playing in the background, which brings me to the main topic:

where can I find TV size mp3s of Back-on‘s songs?

It would probably be helpful to first provide a list of the songs, so without further ado in the order of Anime Title | Type | Song Title :

Anime Title Type Song Title
Air Gear OP Chain
Murder Princess (OVA) OP ヒカリサスホウ Hikari Sasuhou (FK Metal ver.)
Eyeshield 21 OP BLAZE LINE
Eyeshield 21 ED a day dreaming…

Aside from Chain, most of the mp3s are available for download somewhere on Back-on Online, and since this is a summary post, you can find the direct-links to the posts in question below:

But where can you find Chain? This only happens to be one of the most popular Back-on songs ever. The answer is simple: visit Japtard.com. Or more specifically,

view the post Air Gear OST – What a Groovy Trick!

You can the entire OST available for download (at 320kbps) – either as a zip file, or individual mp3 files. Chain (TV Size) is the first song on the 34-track album. The download has kindly been provided by Frox, who has credited Nipponsei for the original release.

Hopefully this post will be helpful to those searching for ‘that’ opening/ending theme by Back-on. Almost every single one so far also has their corresponding lyrics posted on the site somewhere, so take a look at the Lyrics section if you’re interested, particularly if you’d like to participate in the competition!

Murder Princess OAV OST due out on June 27th 2007!

The original news came courtesy of Sowon a little while ago, and there are now only 2 more days until the release of the Murder Princess OST!

Murder Princess OST Cover (HMV.co.jp)

If you’re wondering why this is so significant, this is Back-on wrote/performed the OP, which is a variation of their own release ヒカリサスホウ (Hikari Sasuhou). The released track is undeniably one of Back-on‘s most popular songs, and the new variation is known as

ヒカリサスホウ Hikari Sasuhou (fk Metal ver.)

The OST (AVCA26256) is set to retail at ¥3059, and will feature 43 tracks, most of which will be the anime’s BGM. Unfortunately (as with most anime OSTs) the CD will only feature the TV size versions of both the OP and the ED.

The ED, Naked Flower, is sung by Romi Paku (who voices Alita Forland, the main character) and the full version is already available on CD.

Alas to-date, Back-on have yet to release a full version of ヒカリサスホウ Hikari Sasuhou (fk Metal ver.), which has slightly different lyrics to their album version. The closest release that we’ve been able to find was actually from a compilation album Survive, and you can find out more information about it in the First Glance: ‘Survive’ compilation post. We’ve decided to christen it as the

ヒカリサスホウ Hikari Sasuhou (Survive ver.)

which BOO provided for visitors to download last week. In case you want to listen to the fk Metal ver. before June 27th 2007, you can download a video-rip of the song courtesy of Yakhobian, which you can find here.

We will be providing an OST mp3 of the of ヒカリサスホウ Hikari Sasuhou (fk Metal ver.) in a few days courtesy of Nipponsei, so please watch this space! :)

p/s: Murder Princess OAV Volume 4 is also released on DVD on the same day!

BACK-ON – Hikari Sasuhou ヒカリサスホウ (FK Metal ver.) [Murder Princess OVA OP version] | Lyrics and Translation

The lyrics come courtesy of Yakhobian of the Crystal Nova fansub group, who also kindly shared his recording of the OP from Murder Princess OVA. His fansub group, Crystal Nova, have just released their versions of Murder Princess OVA – Volume 1-4, and they’ve done an excellent job translating the episodes imho, so I would highly recommend downloading their work!

You can find the torrent files from the Crystal Nova Forums and having downloaded the file myself, I can definitely say that the quality of the video is very good. There are two file sizes available – 200mb and 116mb. Yakhobian recommends using CCCP to watch the files as it supports the SSA/AAS subtitling format used by the group for their .mkv files.

The lyrics for the OP were translated based on the original Hikari Sasuhou ヒカリサスホウ lyrics so I’m sure they’re as accurate as can be without the band’s official release. Yakhobian has kindly provided Back-on Online with the original kanji, romaji and also the English translation. You can find all 3 on this page, the kanji on page 2, romaji on page 3 and the English translation on page 4.

New Lyrics – Hikari Sasuhou ヒカリサスホウ

Today heralds the release of the lyrics for Hikari Sasuhou ヒカリサスホウ! It seems lot of people have been looking for these, especially since the release of the Murder Princess OVA. Although the lyrics are slightly different from the Hikari Sasuhou (FK Metal ver.) as Back-on appear to have ‘mashed’ the lyrics from two different verses and added a bit more, hopefully it will still help others!

I spent most of yesterday trying to figure out how to type in Japanese, as well as reference Kanji. This particular release is a result of that hard work, so please do not re-post these lyrics elsewhere without prior permission. The lyrics come in the original Kanji format as well as the usual Hiragana and Romaji.

I have tried to pick up as many errors as possible but if you spot anything amiss please let me know! If you like the release, please do make a comment to show your appreciation :) I’m going to continue working on more Back-on lyrics over the next few days so watch this space!

Remember you can download and listen to both Hikari Sasuhou and Hikari Sasuhou (FK Metal ver.) in the Music section of Back-on Online before the next section update. I’m happy to say that at the moment, Chain has been downloaded 60 times, but Hikari Sasuhou has been the clear favourite at a whopping 112 downloads!

About this entry

“Colours” will not be the third track in the BLAZE LINE/A day dreaming… single

There was some speculation (on my part) that Colours – the new theme song for the TV show Tokyo Mayokara! (Tokyoマヨカラ!) might feature as the third song in the forthcoming single release, BLAZE LINE/A day dreaming…, due out on June 6th 2007. However, Back-on have announced on their blog that the song won’t be part of that single.

※6月6日発売のシングルには「Colours」は収録されません。

I haven’t heard the song yet, but I’m a little sad to find that its not included for June 6th 2007… which makes one wonder if it will be the full length Hikari Sasuhou ヒカリサスホウ (FK Metal ver.)? What do you all think?

On another note, I obviously mis-read the news before… but on second viewing it seems much clearer now: Back-on‘s very own Icchan will be presenting a special event on May 10th 2007 focusing on on their (forthcoming) trip to America, entitled “アメリカ帰国ライブ” or literally “America returning home Live“. The event will be held at Shibuya Ruido K2 who haven’t yet updated their listings for May so hopefully we’ll find out more information closer to the time!

Hikari Sasuhou lyrics ‘scan’ and also lyrics for Hikari Sasuhou (FK Metal ver.)

Wow… I can’t believe I’ve allowed this much time to lapse since my last news post! It makes me feel guilty just thinking about it :) Real life has been extra busy these past few days but with the Easter holidays here, more time can be allocated toward Back-on Online. Now, moving swiftly on from my (irrelevant) life chat:

I promised to scan the New World album sleeve not too long ago, but on the day I actually really go and try it, I can’t actually get hold of a scanner! Instead, I’ve done an ad-hoc photo-shoot for the time being :p Since I want to tell everyone about Sowon‘s forum post, this seems like a good opportunity to share the Hikari Sasuhou ヒカリサスホウ lyrics (or photo at least) with everyone! Click on the thumbnail below to load the full image in a new window!

Moving on to the lyrics of Hikari Sasuhou (FK Metal ver. )Sowon, Back-on Online’s very own Forum Super-moderator, has posted lyrics for the Murder Princess opening theme, as translated by Ayako Fansubs. You can view a small sample below, but click on ‘more lyrics‘ to view the post in full:

same ta kao shi tei tatte
> the coldness of your voice
hajime kara bokau wa wakatte i ta kedo
> it is the start of my understanding
kotoba to auraharari
> It is the words of the aura
igan deita
> which is not strained
kono omoi wo kesshite kureyou
> This throughts is never what I ask for

more lyrics

For those looking to download Hikari Sasuhou and/or Hikari Sasuhou (FK Metal ver.), please refer to the Music page as well as this news post for more information!
Hope this (slightly delayed) but interesting post has added to your day! :D In case you weren’t aware of it already, Back-on Online now hosts the first dedicated Back-on Forums. Credit for the idea goes to Sowon, our new staff Forum Super-moderator, who emailed in with the suggestion and is now doing alot of ‘behind-the-scenes’ work to improve the user experience! Our next site-updates post will collate all of the recent site changes so do look out for it :)

Watch Murder Princess OVA DVD Volume 1 (Raw) on Youtube!

The user darkusagi has uploaded the first DVD (raw) in 3 parts on Youtube! Although he/she wasn’t the first, as EvilSefirotMK uploaded one part first, darkusagi has gone the extra mile by uploading all parts, and also providing a clean version of the opening and ending credits. I’ve decided to include the videos later in the post (you’ll have to click on Read more…) but in the meantime…

The opening credits (as mentioned before) features ヒカリサスホウ Hikari Sasuhou (FK Metal ver.) – an alternative version of Hikari Sasuhou first heard in the trailer clip. It is approximately 1:30 min long and is really worth listening to in my opinion – I especially love the rap! I’ve managed to record it from the Youtube videos and have decided to post it on the radio for you to listen to as well! I apologise for the bad quality (a result of the original recording and the subsequent compressing), but please let me know what you think of the ‘new’ Hikari Sasuhou! :)

Watch the first Murder Princess OVA CM/Trailer

I wouldn’t normally post such detailed information about the Murder Princess OVA at this stage, but this time there’s a special reason:

Its the first opportunity for us to hear the Fk Metal ver. of Hikari Sasuhou!

The clip is only 15 seconds long and there’s a rather loud voice-over, but you can definitely tell that it is indeed a different version of Hikari Sasuhou.

There are several ways for you to watch this clip, either on Youtube (courtesy of Mitheor) or on the official Murder Princess website. Alternatively, watch it below in either WMV or FLV format!

Last but not least, a reminder that the first DVD will be released on March 28th 2007 . I’ll make another news post at some point summarising the information about the anime but if you want to take a quick peek at the release, Famitsu.com has a news post with some screenshots.
