Back-on media @ AnimeUSA 2007 – a quick glance

It’s been a while since Back-on hit Anime USA 2007 but who said time is an issue when writing news posts? Today’s feature are media of Back-on from Anime USA that various con-goers have put together or uploaded online.

We’ll start with a pretty professional video that was done by PBC Productions promoting Anime USA, and I have to admit I’m tempted to join the event next year. ;) Back-on feature in the clip for a mere 30 seconds (from 3:07) but Chad Williams and his team have helpfully provided translations when Kenji03 talks about his thoughts about how amazing it is to have people (who probably don’t know Japanese) singing along with Back-on‘s lyrics!

Another video that we found (on Youtube) was uploaded by anantech featuring Back-on at their autograph-signing session. As many have already pointed out, the look on Teeda and Kenji03‘s faces when they saw the Wii is priceless :) As with the video above, you can visit Youtube or scroll down to watch it!

Last but not least, photos! The best resource at the moment is actually Anime USA’s official gallery where there are currently 50+ photos of Back-on at their concert performance! One of my most favourite has to be a photo featuring Kenji03:

Footage of BACK-ON’s Anime Matsuri Concert by Anime Access!

The news of this fantastic video, featuring a quick interview of Back-on and also their full concert rendition of Chain, comes courtesy of both Akari and also Ichiban!

Back-on Members on Myspace!

The news will come as no surprise to some fans, but two Back-on band members: TEEDA and Kenji03 have both setup their very own accounts on Myspace.com! The news filtered through gradually and there was a (gold) rush of people avidly adding both members to their Myspace friends’ list… including yours truly! :)

Teeda‘s profile can be found at http://www.myspace.com/teedafrombackon and you can see a screenshot of his current Myspace below:

If you’re interested in some statistics, the page has clocked up 431 views in a period of just over a week, and Teeda currently has 53 friends on Myspace. You can also just about see that his featured song is New World, which you can listen to just by visting his profile.

Kenji03‘s profile can be found at http://www.myspace.com/1000547563, and as above, you can see a screenshot of the current view below:

Kenji03 hasn’t actually publicly displayed the number of profile views, so we’ll have to focus on other things, such as the important fact that his profile states that he is:

Single and straight!

which, as die-hard fans will know (cough cough, notably Ichi) is one fantastic piece of news! Hehe :)

We also get to listen to a song by one of Kenji03‘s favourite artists: Hide (formerly of X-Japan). The song is called Electric Cucumber which was recorded in 1998, and according to Wikipedia, is actually by Zilch, an industrial-rock band fronted by Hide that was intended to break into the English market.

Alas, the other band members haven’t yet signed up yet, but let’s all keep our fingers crossed!

p/s: If you live in Japan or plan to be in Japan on July 4th 2007, Back-on will be playing their first ever solo gig at Shibuya O-Crest. The tickets will be on sale starting from tomorrow so go and buy them before they’re sold out! :)

If you wish to purchase them online, you can buy them at Eplus.jp for ¥2500, but the best thing about this gig, is that if you’re the first 100 people through the door, you’ll get a special T-shirt for free!

Anime Matsuri 2007 – Back-on Concert Pictures!

With thanks to happysky, miyu-chan, ichiban and many other users, we’ve been able to share all sorts of Back-on related Anime Matsuri 2007 multimedia with everyone! :) This time, we are featuring concert pictures taken by Anime Matsuri themselves! Anime Matsuri 2007 – Back-on Concert Videos from cstarresurrection (happysky)

As if photos weren’t enough, we have been given a very rare treat by Ichi‘s friend – cstarresurrection or happysky on the Forums. The title explains it all – they are videos of Back-on performing at the Anime Matsuri concert!

This is a rare glimpse (and good quality :D) into Back-on‘s amazing live-performance standards. Apparently their repetoire/set-list included (with thanks to Miyu-chan and xiijelly)

Back-on’s Anime Matsuri Schedule

Everyone should know by now that Back-on will be making their first international appearance at Anime Matsuri, featuring as the main band in the Anime Matsuri concert. As reported before, Back-on‘s Anime Matsuri schedule will also include both a Q&A Panel and and Autograph Session.

If they are appearing at Dance till Dawn, the event will begin at 12am on Saturday morning at the Galaxy Arena. The Q&A Panel (with the main band) is scheduled for 3pm on the same day in Panel Room 1, and the Autograph session is at 2pm on Sunday in Panel Room 2&3.

The (probably) most important part of Back-on‘s schedule is of course the Main Concert, which is set to start from around 7pm on Saturday in the Room of Ages (as its the main event) after the end of Showdown Live! I’m sure everyone is just as excited as I am (even if I can’t attend the actual event) and I really hope people will be kind enough to send in their experiences of the event – please do let me know if you are happy to do it as we can then publish it on the main site as part of a collective! Don’t forget you can now also discuss everything about Back-on at our brand new forums as well!
