Sowon came up with the idea of the Forums, so technically that makes him the 'maker' or God as you guys so poignantly coined! Big Grin (lucky man!) so I can claim nothing here apart from 'the one who spams!' Da*ned proud of that self-labelled title, even if I post rubbish like this hehe~~

In answer to the question (love the thread title btw! Big Grin):

Flick -> my nickname in real life. My real name is a bit of a mouthful to introduce (especially when one is in a noisy environment, the general response is 'huh? say that again?') so it's far easier to go with Flick, you can even do a hand gesture! Apparently it should be spelt 'Flic' but I happen to like that k at the end Smile <--- self-obsessed? Sweatdrop

Am really finding everyone else's explanations really interesting, so hope to read more replies soon!

Haha, Ichi~~ Phuong~ I guess you'll have to be in the cupboard near the guy's (IT) office? Big Grin On the subject of being stuck, a great grandma was stuck in a public toilet overnight earlier this week, because the guy coming to lockup didn't hear her calling out. Poor lady! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/north...004943.stm

p/s: Ganbatte with the posts minna! Smile

poor lady!! i wouldnt wanna be stuck in the bathroom all night. it sounds aweful!

that's exactly what she 's saying koba-chan ^_^

my real name now-------------------------->>My First name Brianne:The strong. Brave, Virtuous. Strong, she ascends.

My middle name Anise: A spice found in THe Mediterranean region and China, as well as a lot of asia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anise
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_anise

My last name Smith: Derived from the Anglo-Saxon "smitan," to smite or strike, SMITH and its derivations are an occupational name for a man who works with metal (smith or blacksmith), one of the earliest jobs for which specialist skills were required. It is a craft that was practiced in all countries, making the surname and its derivations the most common of all surnames.

My Mom's name Medina(I count it as my name as well): 1) Dweller at or near the market; one who had returned from the market 2) From the city of Medina in western Saudi Arabia, the second most holy city of Islam. According to the Instituto Genealógico e Histórico Latino-Americano, the Medina surname originated principally in the Spanish areas of Burgos and Andalusia

and my nick name Bebe: The boy's and girl's name Bibi \b(i)-bi\ is pronounced BEE-bee. It is of Farsi and Persian origin, and its meaning is "lady of the house".Bibi has 2 variant forms: Bebe and Beebee.
then i had to go to other names for more info:
The girl's name Barbara \b(a)-rba-ra, bar-bara\ is pronounced BAR-bra. It is of Latin origin, and its meaning is "foreign woman". The adjective was originally applied to anyone who did not speak Greek; it has the same root as "barbarian". In Roman Catholic custom, Saint Barbara is invoked as a protector against fire and lightning; she is patron saint of architects, stonemasons, and fortifications.

The boy's and girl's name Vivian \v(i)-vian\ is pronounced VIV-ee-en. It is of Latin origin, and its meaning is "lively". An ancient personal name; a saint's name. The name has been common only since the 19th century. In Malory's "Morte d'Arthur", Vivien was the Lady of the Lake and also the enchantress of Merlin. Though not linguistically related, Vivian has been used as an English version of the Irish Gaelic name Bebhinn.

bebe also means butterfly in fijian http://butterflywebsite.com/articles/saybut.htm
that's alot lol

lol. that is a lot. thanks for sharing tho. my real name is nothing speical

The girl's name Chanel \ch(a)-nel\ is pronounced sha-NELL. It is of Old French origin, and its meaning is "pipe, channel". Contemporary usage of the French surname may be due to the influence of the legendary fashion designer Coco Chanel, and a number of famous perfumes. Also the name of a 14th-century French missionary saint.

My mom said it came to her in a dream....She also says she's always wanted to go to France. Interpret it as you will.

>.> *ignores ichi and continues to fawn over teeda poster*

my first name is Kamille and i've found a bunch of different meanings for it.
Kamille-means perfection in Arabic; freeborn: noble in French; also: Its source is a Latin expression meaning "Assistant to the priest."

ok. to be honest, i never knew all that. i just looked it up while making the post. wow tsubame! ur really thorough with ur name. i wouldnt even go through my whole name cuz... idk... beh! its not as interesting.

i love chanel's name. cuz of coco chanel!

my mom picked my name from a movie she watched. anywayz she felt creative writing my name with a K instead of a C. its not as common Big Grin im the only one in the whole school with the name kamille with a K. in fact i have never met anyone who spelled their name the same as me.

My mom would've named me Sydney, or Tatiana. she wouldn't tell me where the others came from.
